Volume 8 (2024)
The 2024 edition marks the eighth installment of the International Scientific and Practical Conference on Physical and Chemical Geotechnologies (PCG-2024). It was held on October 16-18, 2024. Given the current circumstances in Ukraine, the conference was conducted in a hybrid format, offering both online and offline participation. PCG-2024 is a joint event, bringing together three prominent international conferences:

- Mineral Resources & Energy Congress (Main Organizer: Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute, Poland);
- Dubrovnik International ESEE Mining School (Main Organizer: University of Zagreb, Croatia).
Conference Scope:
- Prospects for the Development of Geotechnologies and Energy – Exploring future trends and innovations that will shape the industries;
- Legal, Social, and Economic Challenges in the Fuel and Energy Sector – Addressing the regulatory, societal, and economic factors influencing the sector;
- Innovations in Mining – Showcasing cutting-edge technologies and methods that are transforming mining practices;
- Environmental Impact and Circular Economy – Investigating sustainable practices and the integration of circular economy principles and sustainable development;
- Gasification of Coal and Bio-Raw Materials – Discussing advancements in the gasification process for various materials;
- Physical, Chemical, and Thermoplastic Transformations of Matter – Delving into the scientific processes that underpin these transformations;
- Investment Economic Assessment in Mining – Evaluating the economic viability and investment potential in the mining industry;
- Artificial Intelligence and IT Technologies in Mining – Exploring the role of AI and IT in optimizing mining operations and enhancing safety.
Based on the conference’s theme, 29 scientific papers were issued in the E3S Web of Conferences publishing house, each focusing on key advancements and challenges in mining and energy sectors.
