Abstract
This paper investigates the design, operation, and application of mobile resonant electrical systems for high-voltage generation in non-destructive diagnostics of power equipment insulation. These systems enable field-deployable testing with high flexibility, providing reliable detection of insulation defects such as partial discharges, moisture ingress, and surface contamination without interrupting normal operation. The study explores the fundamental principles of resonant high-voltage generation, including frequency tuning, impedance matching, and voltage amplification, which ensure efficient and safe energy delivery. Detailed analysis of system components, including power sources, resonant circuits, and measurement instrumentation, is presented. Experimental results demonstrate the systems' capability to generate controlled high-voltage pulses while maintaining operational stability and minimizing the risk to personnel and equipment. Comparisons with conventional stationary high-voltage testing methods highlight advantages in mobility, rapid deployment, and adaptability to different equipment types. The proposed approach supports improved preventive maintenance strategies, enhances diagnostic accuracy, and contributes to the overall reliability and safety of electrical networks.
