Use of computer design technologies in the geotechnological educational process

Vladyslav Psyuk1, Alla Polyanska2*

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the potential, experience and trends in the use of computer design technologies in the educational process. Based on the analysis of the existing computer technologies of automated design, which are used for interactive graphic modelling, it was concluded that the application of computer technologies with the use of a virtual reality (VR) tool significantly expands the possibilities of researching complex objects, their study and improvement in complicated geotechnological processes. Thus, the article proposes to use a VR tool to explore the simulation model developed for the object. The use of VR technology allows you to study the object and its constituent elements in conditions where it is impossible to detect defects and opportunities for improvement under normal conditions. The paper presents a simulation model of the motor created with the help of a graphic editor. On this basis, a description of the program for saving the coordinates of the research object, a program for describing the logic of its detection and movement, and the logic of identifying collisions with objects is proposed. The software codes that allow you to implement the object research task using VR technology are presented. The given scientific and practical explanations make it possible to outline further research that will be covered in the authors' further works.
