Abstract
The aim of the study is to determine the optimal (rational) levels of technical and/or technological and/or organizational factors used while managing a stochastic object, by maximizing its comprehensive quality indicator, other things being equal, to meet stakeholders’ requirements for the object properties. According to the corresponding algorithm developed by the authors, the process of maximizing the generalized quality in the manufacturing of steel strip is considered. That took into account a number of significant factors, coefficients of weight of individual quality indicators, and corresponding values of the indicator of incompleteness of the object description. The method effectiveness was judged by the sensitivity of the complex quality indicator to changes in the management factors. The obtained data are consistent with the theory and production practice of rolling production.
Keywords: qualimetry, complex and single quality indicators, control factors, incomplete object description, optimization
